UMIL In December 2019, a Philippine court has rendered a historic decision that convicted a political clan and their cohorts guilty of the infamous Ampatuan massacre[i], the single deadliest attack against journalists. This has made the Philippines as the “biggest mover” and has put it in the top five deadliest countries for journalists[ii], per the Committee to Protect Journalists.
