It includes 15 stops at craft breweries, restaurants and a distillery. We re just really hopeful that with such a long duration and so many great local partners, especially ones that maybe people aren t quite as familiar with yet, that we will get a great showing, said Tonja Marshall, Visit Canton s executive vice president of marketing and communications.   Participants who check-in with the digital passport, available at www.HOFHops.com, will be entered to win prizes, such as Pro Football Hall of Fame museum passes and a gift certificate for an overnight stay at the Sandy Springs Brewers Quarters.

Impact Church in Canton joins with others for MLK Day of Service

CANTON  For some Americans, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is more than a holiday it s a day of service. On Monday, the Impact Evangelistic Center Church of God in Christ at 1411 Cherry Ave. NE teamed up with local community advocates to conduct a grocery giveaway. Though the COVID-19 pandemic detoured most in-person celebrations and gatherings, the Rev. Kenneth Lancaster, host pastor, said the giveaway was in keeping with King s mission, which included advocating for poor Americans of all races. Our church has partnered with the Akron-Canton Food Bank for about eight months, he said.  This is something we could do safely. It s more than having a day off. It s a day we can reflect on how far we ve come, and how far we have to go. I m happy we can help keep his dream alive.
