The Regional District of Central Kootenay wanted to relay the information to the public regarding fires of note in the Southeast Fire Centre.
Trozzo Creek Wildfire
The Trozzo Creek wildfire, located approximately 7.5 kilometres northeast of Winlaw, is active and is currently listed as a wildfire of note by BCWS. Crews continue guard construction on Elliot Anderson Ridge, South Lemon drainage and along the Lemon Forest Service Road, while holding current containment lines on the west perimeter in the Trozzo drainage. The fire growth is toward the east (Baldface Creek) and south (Sproule Creek).

The Regional District of Central Kootenay wanted to relay the information to the public regarding two fires of note in the Southeast Fire Centre Akokli Creek near Boswell on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake and Cultus Creek on the west side of Kootenay Lake
Akokli Creek
The Akokli Creek Wildfire, located approximately 7 kilometres east of Boswell, remains active and is currently listed as a fire of note by BCWS.
At this time this wildfire is not immediately threatening structures. The fire is predominantly northward along the ridgetop and is highly visible along the highway corridor including Boswell, Creston and surrounding areas as well as those travelling along Hwy 3A.
