saying weren t a part of his job. to now say the president shouldn t be exposed to that is a hypocrisy. if this comes bch the court, there will be the opportunity for recusal motions. but the question here, and today is, is this someone who is going to be confirmed to the supreme court? that is an entirely separate question. and he s not going to be able to kme comment on what he would do in this specific case. no judge can comment on that. he will not comment on a specific case of controversy. we know that because that has become the established tradition, and we never get around to changing the process, because it always plays to the side of the benefit of those in power, and they don t want to stop that. we ve never had a circumstance like this one, chris. we haven t had a president who has been in this situation. we haven t had a president whose lawyers have taken these extreme and bizarre positions that we know what is the remedy here? he s not going to recuse himself. h
we said cold pizza, a lot of people s heads nodded. that s what it was when he ran. do you think that led to his success. it is not just supreme court news this week but this on-going border situation with families being separated and now not being reunited as quickly as some would like or was expected, and hillary clinton is kme commenting on this situation, saying her worst fears about the trump administration are coming true, telling the guardian this. the question of how we reunite the children taken from the parents is one that s keeping me up at night, is the one that s keeping me up at night. is that the one keeping you up? true. and i tell you one thing, if she were president and something like this happened on her watch inadvertently or on purpose and it was time to fix it, she would get it fixed. i don t think anybody thinks she s somebody that wouldn t pull together an interagency process, appoint somebody to be responsible to get this thing done, giving them a deadline,
their reduction and they see the economy and remember we are still at a 25-year low in unkbamt. still at a consumer confidence level that s breaking records. the home ownership is up. so many good things about the economy. people going into the election and they say don t want to change things i don t like donald trump. i don t jack kingston. i don t like whomever but i m doing okay. so that s what s important. i think in the long run, paul you know it. because bill clinton wasn t really popular all the time but people thought you know the kme is toing great. he didn t have one day at 32. is that the most number one thing, if you can t grow it right now is shoring it up vital. obviously shoring it up is vital. but it s one thing we forget what happened last november and we sort of forget what s happening currently. last november was trump against hillary clinton. it wasn t trump against trump. it was the media box trump in with the previous statements.
it. i hope people are listening to you. anyone that s hearing the sound of our voice, i hope tloir getting your message. thank you. take care, okay? thank you, don. i want to bring in now steven cuvack. thanks for joining us. thanks for calling in. i wanted to speak to you after it was announced you donated $500,000 to the victims of this tragedy. tell me more. why did you do if? well, our family s very philanthropic to las vegas. and we come from a community hospitalality, and we ve made our living doing that. and we love everyone coming from las vegas. and when i saw that the kme commissioner was doing this, i wanted to triple the efforts, both of them.
people do. they can still laugh at scaramucci s antics. this is catharsis for a country that s desperately waiting for the 2018 mid-term elections. they can t vote him out, they can t say, i feel sorry enough, they ve got to laugh until they have an opportunity to really express how they feel about this presidency next year. whistling past the graveyard. yes. and chris, it s not just geographic, it s generational. even before trump came into office, we know that millennials and younger people, a disproportionate number of them are getting their news from late-night comedians. i think there is actually a civic sense among some of these comedians, as well, that they re getting their jabs in. and they re getting the message across, too, through their comedy. and yes, they ve even had some serious moments after some of the worst stuff that s happened, like charlottesville. and it s a way to, i think, broadcast that to a younger generation, that, i m sorry, but fewer of them are watch
