The 82nd Airborne Division welcomed Command Sgt. Maj. Tonya Sims during a Thursday morning change of responsibility ceremony. Maj. Sims is the first African American woman soldier to serve as the brigade Command Sergeant Major within the division. She is also the highest-ranking enlisted person in the 82nd Sustainment Brigade. All undergraduate classes will now be remote for the first three weeks of the semester. Only a limited number of undergraduate courses were planned to be in person.
