Next date of hearing on March 15 A Delhi court has taken cognizance of a chargesheet filed by Delhi Police against former Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar and nine others in a 2016 sedition case. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Pankaj Sharma also summoned all 10 accused in the case to appear before the court on March 15, the next date of hearing. The court’s order came almost a year after Delhi government gave its nod to police to prosecute Mr. Kumar and nine others for their involvement in a procession where they had allegedly supported seditious slogans raised on the varsity’s campus during an event on February 9, 2016.
