A Calgary man has been charged in relation to an international trafficking scheme to export methamphetamine from Alberta to Australia following a months-long investigation.
The Integrated Border Enforcement Team (IBET) arrested and charged the 31-year-old man with multiple drug trafficking offences after seizing about three kilograms of methamphetamine that was being shipped to Australia, according to a release from RCMP.

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers located two boxes of crystalline powder later determined to be meth being shipped to Australia in September 2020. The investigation was passed to IBET, a federal policing unit based in Calgary and Edmonton with members of the local RCMP, CBSA and Calgary police.
