Liaqatabad Police arrested two members of a dacoit gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Ali Shan and Nauman. The suspects reportedly were arrested when planning for a robbery bid near.
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three minor brothers were killed when a toy bomb they had found in a pond went off in the Mehsud Koroona area of Tank district on Friday.
Police sources said that the boys, aged between five and 13 years, were taking a bath in a pond to beat the heat when they found a toy-like device. They brought it to their father’s shop and started playing with it.
They said the device exploded with a big bang, killing all the three on the spot. They were identified as Waheed, Nasir and Farmanullah.
Locals rushed to the scene of the incident soon after the explosion and shifted the bodies to the district headquarters hospital in Tank city.

Four men attempted to kidnap a woman in Lahore’s Liaquatabad late Monday night, according to the Lahore police. The Dolphin force reached the spot on time and shot dead one suspect during the exchange of fire.
The Dolphin force were alerted by rickshaw driver Humayun who dropped the woman at her house on Akbar Shaheed Road. He said that the men were drunk and passed comments about the woman while she was walking towards her house.
