FAMILY-owner Banbridge construction firm Kane Group has completed its biggest ever London order after successfully delivering a £24 million mechanical and electrical (M&E) contract at high-rise residential scheme Southbank Place on behalf of Canary Wharf Contractors.
The 30-month contract consisted of 301 dwellings, comprising 46 affordable housing apartments, 52 assisted living apartments and 203 luxury apartments.
Kane prefabricated 398 utility pods of 47 different varieties at its local production facility and delivered to site for installation.
And the superior quality and user-friendly pods had huge efficiencies for the project team, saving around one week of manual labour per apartment.
