The Congress leader alleged that a project that would have become a milestone has been handed over to those without the required qualifications for its implementation. Satheesan sought a CBI probe alleging that there was corruption in awarding the contracts and subcontracts for project implementation.
A first-of-its-kind in the country, the project aims to provide free internet connectivity to 20 lakh economically backward families. in its first phase.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will launch the K-FON project on Monday, which aims to provide high-speed connectivity to households, commercial institutions and government offices throughout the state.
