Tribal gaming in Arizona reaches a major milestone. The Arizona Indian Gaming Association said the state has received $2 billion in gaming revenue and an official recording of the amount is expected in July.For nearly 20 years, tribes have shared a portion of their gaming revenues with the state.
“(These are) two different projects, two different concepts that need to be separated but, for some reason, people keep wanting to bring them together and that isn’t appropriate,” said Bitter. “It doesn’t make a lot of sense.”
