Greater Noida: A 40-year-old man, who splurged on drugs and liquor, was allegedly murdered by his wife, her brother-in-law and their tenant in Greater Noida’s Gadhi Shahdara village. The body of Ajit Bhati, who is missing since June 28, is yet to be recovered.
Police said Kavita, Ajit’s wife, planned the murder because she feared her husband would exhaust all their savings on drugs and liquor and leave nothing for her and their two children a 12-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy.
Ajit had recently sold a plot to his brother Sanjay for Rs 45 lakh, but had started to spend huge amounts from the money on liquor. His nephew Suraj said Kavita had informed them on June 28 that her husband had left home the previous day, but was yet to return.
