Ado-Ekiti The Ekiti State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday raised the alarm over the increased wave of insecurity in the State, accusing the State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi of abandoning the State for armed bandits to take over.
The PDP described the kidnapping of a popular petroleum dealer, Alhaji Sulaiman Akinbami, in the premises of his petrol station in Ado Ekiti, the State capital as a major danger signal.
The party said it was getting to a level where residents of the State will not even be safe in their bedrooms.

A National Industrial Court sitting in Ibadan has declared as null and void the sack of a staff of African Newspaper of Nigeria PLC, Publishers of the Nigerian Tribune Titles, Mr. Kareem Popoola by the company.
The presiding Judge, Justice J. D Peters delivered the judgement on the suit filed by Mr Popoola on Monday.
Our correspondent gathered that Popoola is a former President of Staff Cooperative Society of the company.
The judge also described the dismissal of Popoola as abuse of power by the management of the company.
Peters noted that the company could not give any reason for dismissing the plaintiff.

The Ekiti State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has once again raised an alarm over the increased wave of insecurity in the State, accusing the State Governor of abandoning the state for armed bandits to take over.
The PDP, which described the kidnapping of a popular petroleum dealer, Alhaji Sulaiman Akinbami, in the premises of his petrol station in Ado Ekiti as a major danger signal, said it was getting to a level where residents of the state will not even be safe in their bedrooms.
A statement on Monday by the State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Raphael Adeyanju said, “it is sad and shameful that while Alhaji Akinbami was being kidnapped right in his business premises yesterday, Fayemi who he laboured and funded to enthrone as Governor of Ekiti State was nowhere near the state.”
