On the afternoon of January 31, 2021, Markos “Mike” Apesos passed away at the age of 94. He was born in Mckeesport, Pennsylvania to Sideris and Argeta Maris Apesos. He was a loving husband to Ethel Georgiafandis Apesos (1927-2015), and father to two children he now leaves behind; daug- hter Georgene Horton of Follansbee and son, Steve Apesos of Massachusetts.
In addition to his children, he is survived by daughter-in-law Joanne Clary Apesos and son-in- law Jay Horton; grandchildren Marc Apesos, Mary Apesos and her husband Scott Trabucco, and John Horton; and two great grandchildren Dylan and Anastasia Horton. He also leaves behind a brother-in- law John Georgiafandis of Shreveport, LA, sister-in-law Mary Maris of Warren, OH as well as many nieces and nephews.
