The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), on Tuesday, decried the delay in the prosecution of the alleged murder case of 22-year-old fashion designer, Bamise Ayanwola by the Lagos State Government. Lamenting, CDHR Chairman, Lagos State branch urged the Lagos Government to accelerate the hearing of the alleged murder case for the sake of Justice. He said: "The case has been in court since March 2022. CDHR has been monitoring the case but it is so sad that up till date, the case has been suffering series of unnecessary adjournments.
The Lagos State High Court at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) on Thursday fixed February 15, 2024, for the hearing of the “No Case Submission” filed by the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) driver, Andrew Ominnikoron, who is facing trial for the death of one of his passengers, Oluwabamise Ayanwola.

The prosecution also alleged that the defendant and others now at large unlawfully killed Ayanwole by throwing her out of a moving bus between the Lekki-Ajah Expressway and Carter Bridge.
