(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Popular human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, says the civil war analogy used by President Buhari referring to dealing with persons misbehaving in the country was “insensitive”.
She disclosed this in a video statement on Wednesday as she reacted to a statement made by the President on Tuesday after meeting with the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu; and other electoral commissioners in Aso Rock concerning the series of attacks on INEC facilities, police stations and other public infrastructure in the South-Eastern part of the country.
Buhari had said, “In the area of security, we have changed the Service Chiefs and the Inspector-General, and we are demanding that they rise fully to the challenges confronting us. There must be zero tolerance for all those bent on destroying our country by promoting crime and insurrection!

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Popular activist, Aisha Yesufu, says that the “body language” of President Muhammadu Buhari is making banditry and terrorism increased in the country.
Yesufu disclosed this when she featured on popular television show, ‘Politics Today’ on Channels Television as she reacted to the abduction of over 300 schoolgirls from Jangebe in Zamfara State by unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits.
Yesufu, who is a co-convener of the #BringBackOurGirls movement frowned at the increase in abductions in the country saying that it is worrisome that a recurrence of large scale abduction could happen under the watch of Buhari.
