According to NFA, more than 20,000 residents in Lake Kijjanebalora catchment area are occupying forest reserves which have been depleted over the years and they want them restored. The forest reserves NFA seeks to recover are in the sub-counties of Kagamba, Kyalulangira, Kacheera and Kiziba, measuring between 5,000 and 8,000 hectares.
