waternado? twins. we ll make something up. all eyes are still on colorado where this time yesterday, we were dealing with historic boulder floods. it s still pouring in many areas of colorado. doesn t look like it will end anytime soon. flash flood warnings around boulder. a lot of the canyons, dams, dams made of earthen rock, not concrete dams, but a lot of those are not holding up because they were getting flash flooding. as far as the east coast, big storms and heavy rains moved through the northeast. there are still showers out there, but the cold front will push through and the humid air is being pushed out during the day today. so it will take a little while to clear out, but there are showers in new england. overall we won t see the airport problems like yesterday. it will clear out from the great lakes, ohio valley, east coast. it will be a fantastic beautiful weekend. thanks so much, bill. we all have worries, of course, but what worries your
we re getting towards the crop season here in the midwest. it s been pretty dry lately. chicago s had a very dry july and august. all of a sudden, our crops are starting to stress a little bit in areas of iowa. that s where a lot of our corn comes from and the soybeans. there s a growing drought there in the central plains. the farmers are really hoping they get some rain here towards the end of our season. we ll have to watch that and maybe the prices too. yesterday was very hot. it was 99 in denver. it was a nice 88 in new york city and d.c. was nice. over the next five days, the rainfall not very impressive, either, in the midwest. maybe at most, an inch. looks like a very dry forecast. today, not many airport problems. isolated storms there in virginia and north carolina. and for the first time in a month, chicago and new york city have a chance of hitting 90 degrees. it s been one of those summers. you re watch morning joe. we re withdrbrewed by starbucks. we re here at the univ
here s a look at your business travel forecast. we could have minor airport problems and even trouble on the roads for the eastern seaboard. it s not going to be severe storms, but we ll see areas of rain, one or two downpours with thunderstorms, the middle of the country looks nice, west coast looks nice, hot in the desert southwest. it s not until tuesday that thunderstorms will return here to the central plains.
