Maharashtra government has recently formed a new committee composed of principal secretaries of various departments of the government–higher and technical education, tribal development, minority among all.
A senior official from the Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation (MRVC), which is a project implementing authority, said that on the private land parcel, there are over 1,000 slums who refuse to shift to alternate locations.
According to the state government on Monday, Rs 33,690 crore has been approved to implement MUTP–3 and 3A project, intended to bring transportation development in MMR.
