past 18 months or so, international travel has been more or less band, i mean really banned. it s really hard to get in or out of australia right now and qantas has been posting really big losses, $1.5 billion this year, $2 billion last year, and only where they managed to survive was this brief air travel bubble with new zealand, and domestic travel, but now you have these latest lockdowns, and both of these things have basically gone, it s really had qantas s share price in the last month, going down by 8%, and they have received a lot of money from the australian government, about $2 billion so far, and it s going to be really hard to see a way out of this because the delta variant continues to spread, cities continue to lock down, and only 15% of people in australia are vaccinated right now, so who knows when international travel is going to resume. the chief executive of qantas as there will be a big rebound when it happens,
