The probe into the alleged use of questionable engine parts in the aviation industry, focusing on the widely used CFM56 engines found in Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 models, has prompted global airlines to conduct rigorous inspections. This has led to temporary groundings and widespread concern over aviation safety.
The contract was signed by Gunnar Hansen, Head of Strategic Procurement, Detail Parts, Airbus Aerostructures, and Nils Witt, Chief Procurement Officer, Airbus Aerostructures, and Mohamed Bouzidi, President Aerospace, Aequs at Karnataka s Belagavi recently.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Safran Aircraft Engines will now be manufacturing engine parts for LEAP power plants that are used on Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 family.
