Airbus, Atlas Telecom in smart communications solutions deal
ABU DHABI, February 25, 2021 Airbus and Atlas Telecom, a UAE-based communications technology integration and security solutions company, have signed a strategic partnership agreement at the ongoing IDEX 2021 to combine their local and global expertise and reinforce collaboration among public safety agencies in Abu Dhabi. The cooperation will lead to the integration of Airbus’ Tactilon Agnet, Everus Manpack and Tactilon Dabat into Atlas Telecom’s solutions for defense and security applications, a statement said. Tactilon Agnet brings terminal radio and smart device users together, allowing real-time sharing of voice, data, video and location information. Embedded in Tactilon Agnet, the portable Everus Manpack LTE tactical bubble enables voice and video services, and gives users a direct link to the headquarters.

The Slovenian State police, Airbus Tetra terminal user since 2005, will benefit from a state-of-the-art mission-critical system in replacement of the current Tetra system installed in 2004.
The Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Slovenia has selected the Airbus consortium, composed of Airbus, Telekom Slovenije, the leading Slovenian provider of the most advanced telecommunication solutions, and Iskratel, leading ICT provider for the digital transformation of the telecommunications, transport, public safety and energy industries, for the deployment of a Tetra digital radio infrastructure and its maintenance for the Slovenian State Authorities and Police Forces.
