The son of a Second World War hero from Grimsby has fulfilled his family s wish to publish a book in his father s memory.
Squadron Leader Doug Nicholls fought in the Battle of Britain before settling in Westward Ho, Grimsby.
He died in 2014 aged 95 years but he had left behind the basis of an autobiography covering his RAF days flying Hurricanes, which the family had badgered him for years to write.
