SEREMBAN, April 12 The current haze situation around Seremban is probably caused by industrial plants and quarries in Nilai, said Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri.
SEREMBAN: Quarry operations and land clearing activity for a new industrial area in Nilai could have contributed to the unhealthy air quality reported in the city here, says Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
GEORGE TOWN: The scorching heat and moderate air pollution has made Perlis, Kedah and Penang a hotspot in more ways than one. The oppressive environment is created by the combination of cloudless skies and humid weather, even though there are scattered bursts of rain every now and then.
GEORGE TOWN: The 68-storey Komtar building was hardly visible, and all of Penang island was just a blur from the mainland, but Air Pollutant Index (API) readings were still at “moderate” levels at four stations in the state.
