Air India has been fined over a crore over safety-related violations on flights operated on certain long-range terrain critical routes, the country's aviation regulator said today.
The inspections revealed that Air India was not in compliance with the relevant Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR). Consequently, a Show Cause Notice was issued to Air India on November 3, requesting a response to the observed non-compliance with regulatory provisions.
DGCA inspections revealed Air Indias non-compliance with aviation regulations at Kochi, Bengaluru, and Delhi airports, leading to a Rs 10 lakh penalty.
