2021 BMW 5 Series facelift launched in Malaysia – G30 530e and 530i M Sport LCI, RM317,534 to RM368,122 28 May 2021 11:38 am / 22 comments Prices for the locally-assembled models range from RM317,534 for the 530e M Sport to RM368,122 for the 530i M Sport, both on-the-road without insurance inclusive of the sales and service tax (SST) exemption and the standard two-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. SPIED: BMW 8 Series prototype spotted at the Nürburgring – an M8 CSL, or something else entirely?

SPIED: BMW 8 Series prototype spotted at the Nürburgring – an M8 CSL, or something else entirely? 20 May 2021 7:06 pm / 0 comments Over the past year, BMW has been testing a rather strange prototype based on an 8 Series, complete with louvres cut into the rear side windows. At the time, rumours were rife of it being a mid-engined mule for a future supercar, although Munich was quick to deny it. Now, our spy photographers have caught a second prototype without virtually zero camouflage, revealing the front and rear fascias and a number of mean performance goodies. These include gaping double kidney grilles with menacing gradated red inserts – a colour that also appears on the front air intakes and front fender Air Breather vents. There’s also a jutting front splitter, a massive rear wing and a still-disguised rear diffuser with a Formula 1-style centre fog light.

BMW i4 electric 4-door coupé revealed in first photos

BMW i4 electric 4-door coupé revealed in first photos 17 March 2021 5:52 pm / 3 comments Sporting the highly-controversial full-height kidney grilles, the i4 has arguably the best-looking interpretation of that face yet, framing the nostrils with a trapezoidal centre opening and slim vertical Air Curtain inlets at the corners of the front bumper. The grilles, by the way, are largely closed off and feature a mix of raised and scalloped “dashes”, plus the i logo. Along the side, the i4 features the usual Gran Coupé sweeping roofline and six-window glasshouse, retaining the G22’s reinterpreted C-pillar Hoffmeister kink. Unique to the i4 is the Air Breather vents, hockey stick side graphic (finished in BMW i blue here) and flush door handles, which are also expected to be found on the regular petrol- and diesel-powered Gran Coupé.
