In the first ever Olympic mixed relay, the Great Britain team debuted to perfection, winning gold. A team of Jessica Learmouth, Jonny Brownlee, Georgia Taylor-Brown and Alex Yee stormed to victory with a performance of real accomplishment.
It was a victory that was a particular reward for Brownlee: finally, in his third Olympics, he had a gold medal in his hands that hadn’t been won by his brother, Alistair.
