The Hawai‘i Island Police Department is seeking missing person Tetsuya Yamada, an 87-year-old man last seen on Ainalako Road in Hilo on Feb. 28 at 12:30 p.m.
The department stated the severity of the alert in announcement just at 5:30 p.m., stating Yamada poses a significant threat to life or property.
