During the ongoing second wave, above 500 doctors and health workers of the two leading hospitals in Patna-AIIMS and Patna Medical College and Hospital- have been infected by the virus, sources in the two hospitals said on Wednesday.

Like many other Indian states, Bihar has also been grappling under the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The health infrastructure of the state is further hit as some 500 doctors, nurses, lab technicians, and other staff have been infected by the coronavirus over the last two weeks.
Not just that, over 200 policemen have also tested COVID-19 positive in the state, reported The Indian Express.
He said all the Union ministers have decided to voluntarily pay the price fixed for the vaccine.

NEW DELHI: Union minister and senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad was administered the first dose of anti-coronavirus vaccine in Patna on Tuesday for which he paid Rs 250.
He said all the Union ministers have decided to voluntarily pay the price fixed for the vaccine. I also got myself administered the made in India vaccine Covaxin at AIIMS Patna, Prasad tweeted. Though the coronavirus vaccine is free in Bihar, I paid Rs 250 to the hospital as price for the shot, he said.

I have got a vaccine for COVID-19 in AIIMS Patna. All of us Union Ministers had decided that we will also pay Rs 250 each out our own volition. I have also given shared an amount of Rs 250 to AIIMS today, the Minister added while speaking to media here.
