The Hillcrest Academy boys soccer team will try to get back on the winning track today when they host Cedar Valley Christian. Hillcrest enters play with a 1-2 record after being shut out by Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union Thursday 2-0. On the season the Ravens are led by Will Kolck with three goals. John Hughes, Dominic Bouse and Johnny Diaz each have one assist and in goal Aiden Krabil has made 28 saves with a 70% save percentage.
Cedar Valley Christian comes into the day with an 0-4 record. They were beaten by Center Point Urbana 8-0 on Monday. The Huskies have yet to score a goal on the season, being outscored 28-0 across their four matches. In goal, Braydon Taylor has 45 saves and a 71.4% save percentage. The Ravens are 4-0 all-time against CVC including a 4-0 shut out win in 2019. Hillcrest has outscored the Huskies 17-1 combined in their previous meetings.
