Barbecuing or smoking shisha in Ajman s public parks, green areas and beaches would invite a fine of Dh1,000, authorities have warned.
The Ajman municipality has launched an inspection campaign targeting the practices of barbecuing and smoking shisha in parks, green areas and beaches, said Khalid Al Hosani, director of Health and environment department at the municipality.
The emirate had banned these practices to maintain the health and safety of the residents and visitors. The parks, green areas and beaches are the most vital places visited by residents and it’s our duty to ensure they have an ideal and healthy environment to enjoy it,” he added.
UAE: Covid inspections stepped up in parks

Ajman Municipality has launched intensified weekend inspections in the emirate’s parks to ensure that visitors are adhering to mandatory health and safety measures in order to limit the spread of Covid-19.
Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, Director of the Agriculture and Public Gardens Department, said the department has prepared a clear and comprehensive plan this year that implements regulations to preserve the environment and contribute to a healthy atmosphere in the emirate.

Private New Year parties and get-togethers either at home or in public places are strictly prohibited in Abu Dhabi and violators shall face a fine of Dh10,000.
The Abu Dhabi Police on Monday urged residents to follow precautionary measures and all other regulations to contain the spread of Covid-19.
According to Resolution No. 38 of 2020, a Dh10,000 fine will be imposed on whomever invites or organises gatherings, meetings, private and public celebration. It also covers those who will be found present in groups at public places or private farms. Every participant will be fined Dh5,000.
