Gulf Air promotes four Bahraini pilots as captains MANAMA, 14 days ago National carrier Gulf Air has announced that four of its Bahraini pilots - Ahmed Ismaeel, Ahmed Janahi, Mohammed Kamal and Mohammed Malek - have been promoted as captains following their succesful completion of the final check for command upgrade training programme.    The airline s top management commended all the four for the achievement and also their uniform upgrade from three to four stripes.   Gulf Air said all the newly promoted captains have started their flying career with Gulf Air beginning from second officer and completing the required training and flying hours to become first officers and recently captains.
