Losail: Defending FIA Middle East rally champion Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah and WRC star Kris Meeke are the top seeds on an international 18-car entry with competitors from nine nations (subject to FIA approval) announced by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) for next week’s Qatar International Rally.
The opening round of the 2021 FIA Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) will go ahead under the strict Covid-19 protocols in force in the State of Qatar and has also moved forward by one day in the calendar. The start ceremony will now be held at Katara on Friday evening (January 29th), followed by two days of gravel action in the Qatar deserts on January 30-31.

MME gets ISO certification for resolving complaints, customer satisfaction

Doha: Represented by the Customer Service Department and the Unified Call Center, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) received the ISO/10002/2018 certificate for resolving complaints and customer satisfaction.
The Ministry met all the necessary requirements to obtain it, within the framework of the Ministry’s vigorous pursuit to provide services of high quality and efficiency.
On this occasion, Director of the Customer Service Department and the Unified Call Center at the MME, Hamad bin Ahmed Al Mohannadi said that the certification reflects the commitment of the MME regarding its quality policy and ensuring the implementation of its mission, vision and strategy.

Doha: The Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) has successfully completed all events listed on the national championships calendar for the year 2020, a top official said yesterday.
Amro Al Hamad, the Executive Director of QMMF, said the national motorsport body had overcome COVID-19 related postponements to complete the calendar of events for 2020.
“We are proud to announce that this week’s event marked the QMMF’s target of completing all national competitions for the year 2020. There were so many delays because of the COVID-19 situation and we had to reschedule or even postpone events but in the end we managed to do it,” Al Hamad said after the fifth and final round of Qatar National Baja concluded on Saturday.
