All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has called for peace among all ethnic, tribal and religious groups in Nigeria.
Mr Tinubu made the call on Friday during the Eighth-Day Fidau Prayer for the late Lateef Jakande, the first civilian governor of Lagos State.
He said the country was facing a crisis but all needed to live in harmony and give peace a chance.
”Nigeria is currently facing a crisis; a crisis of insurgency, banditry in all aspects of security, but God Almighty that made this country as one of the largest and most resourceful country will protect us.

A former Zamfara State governor, Senator Ahmad Yerima and a businessman, Alhaji Musa Wapa have agreed to settle their dispute outside the purview of the independent Investigative Panel set up to investigate alleged human rights violations by the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and other units of the Nigeria Police Force.
Yerima summoned by the panel sitting in Abuja for allegedly threatening the life of Wapa a Katsina State born business man, who accused Yerima of using police men to illegally detain and torture him over N23million debt
At the hearing of the matter, Mr. Garba Tetengi SAN, who stood in for the Chairman of the panel, Justice Suleiman Galadima, inquired if the parties (Wapa and Yerima) were ready to settle the case amicably and report the terms of settlement to the panel.

My heart went out to the families of the boys who were kidnapped from Government Boys Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State, when they were missing. During the time that their sons were in captivity, I cannot imagine how the Parents would have felt. I think that I can safely say without equivocation, that, apart from death, kidnapping/abduction of a child is one of the worst things that can happen to a family – not knowing the whereabouts or fate of your child who is in the hands of the most violent, vicious types of criminals (I call them criminals, because their actions have nothing to do with the teachings of Islam or any religion of the Book). I am sure you will all agree with me that, this has gone way beyond pontification, rhetorics, and debate on whether the President attends the National Assembly (NASS) to address the members on insecurity, or whether he was in Katsina when this ugly incident occurred and he didn’t visit the Parents of the abductees etc. It is
