SC and Qatar Museums sign MoU to support delivery of Qatar 2022  25 May 2021 - 17:02 The Peninsula The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) and Qatar Museums (QM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in an effort to enhance the FIFA World Cup™ tournament experience in 2022.  The MoU will see the SC and QM form a joint working group to support the delivery of various programmes, including exhibitions, digital collaborations, conferences and workshops. The group’s mandate will be to help shape the overall tournament experience in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and during the event. Qatar Museums to renovate Museum of Islamic Art  24 May 2021 - 8:28 The Peninsula Doha: Qatar Museums has announced its plan to renovate the building of the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), in a project conducted in cooperation with the Social and Sport Contribution Fund “Daam”. The project will be implemented by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal). The three parties have signed an agreement for this purpose. The renovation work, to be launched soon, includes the galleries and interior spaces of the MIA building, which consists of two stories for permanent exhibition halls, two temporary exhibition halls, a private exhibition hall, a lecture hall, and a gift shop. Through this project, Qatar Museums is seeking to provide museum visitors with an exceptional experience.
