KABUL, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) Target killing has increased in insurgency-plagued Afghanistan as two civilians were killed and four others including two civilians sustained injury in blasts in the capital Kabul and the eastern Jalalabad city on Thursday.
In the first blast, which targeted a car in Police District 7 of the Kabul city in the morning rush hours, claimed the life of a civilian and injured two others, Kabul police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz confirmed without providing more details.
Local media reported the dead was identified as a person who worked for the Administrative Office of the President.

GHAZNI, Afghanistan, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) Three people were killed and three others wounded in three separate targeted attacks in Afghanistan on Monday, authorities confirmed.
In eastern Ghazni province, gunmen opened fire on two provincial revenue directorate workers and killed them in Police District (PD) 2 of provincial capital Ghazni city at about 8 a.m. local time, Ahmad Khan Sirat, provincial police spokesman, told Xinhua.
The spokesman said the custom workers were on their way to office and were killed by terrorists equipped with silence weapons.
In neighboring Khost province, an improvised bomb targeted vehicle of Sayyed Asghar Akakhil, a provincial council member, on the outskirts of provincial capital Khost city, killing one security guard and wounding Akakhil and a security guard, chairman of the council, Rahis Kafel Rayhan, told Xinhua.
