Ahmad Furoji says the unexpected win would motivate Proton s workers to come up with more innovative projects for the company.
CREATIVE thinking by a group from Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (Proton) has earned them the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) Chairman Award at the Annual Productivity and Innovation Conference and Exposition (APIC) 2020.
The win for the group, known as “Dynamic” from Proton, was announced at the inaugural virtual APIC 2020 award presentation event.
Proton secretariat Ahmad Furoji Aris, from the carmaker’s Shah Alam branch, expressed his appreciation for the award.
“The Dynamic group presented a project on late claim submission for the benefit of Proton employees, which can cut cost by RM1mil or 27%. This project can reduce cycle time for claim processing from 34 days to only six days, which is an 82% reduction.
