Doha: The first installation of decorative lighting poles to enhance Doha Corniche will begin in the middle of this year, said Ahmad Al Abdulla, CEO of the Lighting Design Company. Most of the lighting poles to be installed by the middle of this year will be in area of the National Day celebration, he said appreciating the great support and cooperation that private companies have received from the government.
Speaking to Qatar Radio yesterday, Al Abdulla noted that the work will be completed by February next year.
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) recently signed two contracts to provide 2,600 decorative lighting poles to enhance Doha Corniche and Central Doha areas, within the works of the Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar.
