Faces of car snatchers nabbed in Abuja - Daily Post Nigeria

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested two suspects for car snatching along the Dei-Dei axis. The Public Relations Officer, ASP Mariam Yusuf, in a statement gave the suspects’ names as Abdullahi Mohammed, 37, and Mohammed Usman, 35. The duo were intercepted by operatives from the Wuye Division during a coordinated operation. Mohammed and Usman had attempted to sell a vehicle snatched at gunpoint along the Tudun Wada axis of Niger State. “The suspects confessed to being members of a five-man syndicate operating along Niger-Abuja axis,” the Police said. Exhibits recovered were one ash colour Toyota Corolla and two counterfeit number plates.

8 suspected railway vandals arrested in Nasarawa - Daily Post Nigeria

Daily Post Nigeria Published Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Wednesday said it has arrested eight suspects over alleged vandalism of railway sleepers in Lafia. NAN reports that the State Commandant of NSCDC, Mr Mohammed Mahmoud-Fari, who paraded the suspects at the Command’s headquarters on Wednesday, said that they were arrested with 370 pieces of the sleepers. Mahmoud-Fari said that operatives of the command, acting on intelligence, arrested the suspects on March 31, in Agyaragu village while conveying the items in a truck to Lafia. The commandant explained that the prime suspect, driver of the truck and one other were initially apprehended while five other suspects were later arrested based on information.

Mahmoud-Fari said that operatives of the command, acting on intelligence, arrested the suspects on March 31, in Agyaragu village while conveying the items in a truck to Lafia. The commandant explained that the prime suspect, driver of the truck and one other were initially apprehended while five other suspects were later arrested based on information. He said that investigation was ongoing to arrest other accomplices and prosecute them accordingly. Mahmoud-Fari said that he had directed all divisional officers in the command to ensure maximum protection of railway facilities in their areas. Meanwhile, the prime suspect (name withheld) told newsmen that he was contracted by one Alhaji to remove the railway sleepers with the claim that they had become obsolete and were about to be replaced.

NDLEA arrests woman, 35, for alleged cannabis trafficking

Punch Newspapers Sections Umar Muhammed, Lafia A 35-year-old woman, Rakiya Haladu has been arrested by the Nasarawa State Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency with 45 bags of cannabis sativa weighing about 474 kilograms and worth N11,250,000. The Command also arrested 54 drug suspects comprising of 12 dealers and 42 drug addicts across the 13 local government areas and 18 development areas of the state. Parading the suspects at the Command in Lafia on Tuesday, the Commandant, Justice Arinze, said ten of the drug dealers have been convicted at the Federal High Court sitting in Lafia, the state capital. He added that the Command busted into a warehouse in Lafia and arrested a suspected housewife allegedly engaged in drug trafficking.
