Winery Brush Fire Breaks Out Near Agua Dulce
The Winery brush fire broke out near Agua Dulce Monday, prompting a response from firefighters.
The brush fire, dubbed the Winery Fire, was first reported to firefighters around 12 p.m. Monday on Agua Dulce Canyon Road near Sierra Highway in Agua Dulce, said Sean Ferguson, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
As of 12:15 p.m., the fire is currently burning in medium fuels with no structures threatened, according to Fire officials.
UPDATE (3:00 p.m.): The fire affected three-fourths of an acre of land, according to Franklin Lopez, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Forward progression of the fire was stopped at approximately 12:39 p.m. after 25 minutes on-scene, according to Los Angeles County Fire officials.
One Airlifted After Helicopter Lands On 14 Freeway Following Agua Dulce Crash
One patient was airlifted after a helicopter landed on the 14 Freeway following a crash in Agua Dulce Thursday evening.
Just after 3:45 p.m., reports were received of a traffic collision involving a semi-truck on the southbound 14 Freeway north of Agua Dulce Canyon Road, according to Marvin Lim, spokesperson with the Los Angeles County fire Department.
“We have one patient who was extricated from their vehicle,” Lim said. “They are now on their way to an area hospital via helicopter.”
Initial reports from California Highway Patrol (CHP) traffic logs indicate that a vehicle reportedly collided head-on with a semi-truck.
High-Speed 14 Freeway Pursuit Ends In Crash, One In Custody
A high-speed 14 Freeway pursuit suspect was taken into custody after the chase ended in a crash Tuesday morning.
Just after 10 a.m. Tuesday, a California Highway Patrol officer attempted to stop a Kia wanted for speeding on the northbound 14 Freeway near Golden Valley Road, according to CHP officials on scene.
The vehicle fled north on the 14 Freeway, reaching speeds of 130 mph, according to officials.
The pursuit exited the freeway at Agua Dulce Canyon Road and continued south on Soledad Canyon Road, according to CHP officials.
The suspect reportedly attempted to re-enter the northbound 14 Freeway at Soledad Canyon Road, at which point she collided with two other vehicles, according to officials.
Two Lanes Closed Following Multi-Vehicle 14 Freeway Crash
Two lanes were closed following a 14 freeway crash near Agua Dulce Canyon Road Sunday afternoon, officials said.
Update 2 p.m.: There were five patients total in the incident, with two in critical conditions, according to Supervisor Flores with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday, reports were received of a multi-vehicle collision on the southbound 14 freeway near Agua Dulce Canyon Road, according to Supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We just got on scene,” Peters said at 1 p.m. “There were three ambulances ordered but there hasn’t been any transports to the hospital just yet.”
