BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) through its Syariah Affairs Department represented Brunei Darussalam at the 17th Asean Working Group on Halal Food Marketing conducted virtually at the ministry’s headquarters in Berakas on Tuesday (Aug 3).
Acting Director of Syariah Affairs Abdul Rahman Matzin led Brunei during the meeting hosted by Cambodia.
The meeting discussed matters arising from the Asean high-level meetings, progress of Sub-Regional Halal Cooperation under MABIMS, BIMP-EAGA and IMT-SGT, progress on the implementation of the Plan of Action for Asean Cooperation in Halal Food 2021-2025, and the establishment of the International Halal Authority Board (IHAB).
