the boards of companies and you give a lot of speeches. who do you give them to? what boards you re on say a lot about whether you re going to run. the minute they become controversial, this is a woman who is probably free of the decision and has decided not to run. again, i don t think it ll come for another maybe 18 months or so. but those are the kinds of things i think you have to look at. does she until she decides does she effectively freeze this contest for other democrats? i don t think so. i actually don t. i know that s how everyone is waiting to see what hillary clinton is going to do and then clear the way. maybe joe biden wouldn t run but, you know, go talk to governor o malley in maryland. go talk to andrew cuomo in new york. i think that neither one of them would be, quote, scared out of the race awaiting hillary clinton s decision. i think what everybody is doing at this point. anybody you could name that we look at as a possible 2016 candidate are keeping their o
reaction shot. the idea for governor christie was to go in and hit a home run and leave people wanting tore more he didn t come close. so many thing he could have done in cadence or memorable line and it wasn t there. so if he is his idea to walk away for people wanting him for 2016 it didn t happen. who would be the big winner from that? paul ryan. if mitt romney doesn t win it s a battle for who s the leader of the party and paul ryan has the opportunity to seize that and close the deal because chris christie i think fell way, way short of doing that. fascinating thing that s happening at this convention, regardless of whether republicans win or lose, there s a whole new breed of people coming in that are going to run this party and they re all in their late 30s or 40s. go talk to marco rubio, talk to paul ryan, talk to scott walker in wisconsin. you finally have elected officials who have in their minds what all of those voters had in their hearts in 2010. if i only have an inte

i have a piece of advice. go talk to lisa murkowski. you don t have to be persuaded by them but hear their reasoning. you re never going to hear it from me pm talk to republican women. you might be surprised about some of the political pitfalls you can avoid. i m just saying. thanks for being here. this week is a very big anniversary for a very big and important thing. it s gone unmentioned in the news. i have a personal connection to it. i ll talk about it in a moment.
they are treated as sellouts for going over to the democratic side and selling out the movement. you have stories like lisa murkowski who was going along with there is no war on women and she went home to alaska and talked to her constituents and heard from women. she came back sounding a very different tune. the more that happens, the more it s possible they start to get this message. the other part is sometimes it just sort of takes them wandering into the traps through their own obliviousness and it takes getting this blow-back for it to register. the comparable thing may be the payroll tax where republicans started to pick a fight over how to pay for the payroll extension and realized it wasn t a good idea. that may be where this ends up now. it will be interesting to see. on the violence against women s act thing. i have a piece of republicans in congress. go talk to lisa murkowski. you don t have to be persuaded by them but hear their reasoning. you re never going to hear it
