reporter: u.s. border patrol agent was laid to rest on saturday, his flag draped casket was carried by six members of his family into this catholic church in el paso for his funeral service before being taken to a nearby cemetery where he was buried. family, friends and scores of law enforcement officers and border patrol agents came from across the state and across the country to pay their respects. what certainly makes this difficult for his family, particularly difficult, is that they don t know very much about how agent martinez died. what we do know is last saturday night he was searching a culvert area about 30 miles from the mexican border. what happened beyond that is unclear. martinez and another agent were taken to a hospital with head injuries and broken bones. there is no body camera video from either agent and there is no dash camera video from either of their vehicles. and the one person that

all right, welcome back. memorial services are being held today for border patrol agent ro rogelio martinez who died under mysterious circumstances. federal officials are investigating and authorities are offering up a $45,000 reward for information as to what may have happened. a u.s. attorney general, jeff sessions, and other law enforcement officials are attending the service in el paso today. krp correspondent scott mcclane is also in el paso outside the church. he s joining me now. are authorities any closer to finding out exactly what happened? well, fredricka, that s the part that must make this especially difficult for agent martinez s family, that they don t have all the answers, hardly any answers at all, as to why or what happened to their family member. agent martinez. what we do know is that late saturday night, last saturday
