Protesters literally locked down in west roxbury until firefighters and police force them to freedom. Freed and then promptly arrested. They need to shut it down. We dont need this pipeline. We dont need anything about it. And i guess im done with the interview. Reporter they are part of the ongoing protest against construction of a gas pipeline. This tim t cars in the Construction Zone and used bicycle locks to attach themselves by the neck to the wheel. The reason that we stand here and put our bodies on the line is because we have no other choice. Reporter protesters say the pipeline in the middle of a residential neighborhood isnt safe. Spectra, the company putting it in says everything they are doing meets safety regulations. Still, protesters vow they are not backing down. Of course, it is worth it. This is nothing.
