CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A bus route between Charlottesville and the Shenandoah Valley just got the green light for funding. The Afton Express will now move forward with a two-year pilot program.
The Afton Express connects BRITE and Charlottesville Area Transit. The service will connect Staunton, Fishersville, Waynesboro, Charlottesville, and Albemarle County.
The bus will include four morning and four evening trips Monday through Friday, with stops at hubs like the University of Virginia and Fifth Street Station.
