been under heat alerts since july fourth. and yes, it is the sunshine state. you do expect to feel the heat here. people here are telling me this feels different and they re not used to the heat that we re feeling now. one resident that i spoke with, he said he s been living here several years and he s not used to seeing these heat alerts here. take a listen. i remember seeing the alert on my phone. i haven t seen it since i was in texas. usually it s a flood advisory. it doesn t concern me. i avoid going outside. not because i m worried about something happening. it s miserable to be outside in that. all right. we haven t had as many afternoon storms to really cool us off. but today we did get one. it worked. our team for fox weather tells me going forward, we could see more relief coming up in florida. neil? neil: fingers crossed. thanks, brandy. i want to go to steve later
