After Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, the leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh, has also opposed the Sindh governmentâs possible move to appoint Murtaza Wahab, currently serving as the adviser to the Sindh chief minister on law and environment, as the Karachi Metropolitan Corporationâs administrator, saying that the residents of Karachi and leaders of all political parties will resist such a move.
âWahab has a pretty good face but is not capable of running the affairs of Karachi,â said Sheikh in a press statement issued on Sunday. He advised the law adviser to continue to âdefend the ill-practices of the PPP [Pakistan Peoples Party] rulers by taking part in talk shows.â
