The Independent Electoral Commission in the Eastern Cape has moved to ensure political parties of smooth elections come next month.This comes after political parties, during the signing of the electoral code of conduct in East London on Friday, raised some concerns regarding the running of the elections.
Political parties have written to Electoral Commission of South Africa CEO Sy Mamabolo requesting an urgent meeting to discuss their disgruntlement with the elections timetable, which they say is “unjust”.
