KOMPAS.com - Barrack Obama lahir pada 4 Agustus 1961 di Honolulu, Hawaii. Tak ada yang menyangka bocah kecil itu nantinya akan menjadi presiden sebuah negara adidaya.
Tapi sejarah membuktikannya. Obama, jadi presiden Amerika Serikat yang ke-44, yang bahkan jadi keturunan Afrika - Amerika pertama yang terpilih sebagai pemimpin tertinggi AS.
Sebelum memulai karier politik, Obama terlebih dulu berkerja sebagai Pengacara Sipil. Dia lantas menjadi senator Universitas Illinois, hingga akhirnya memantapkan langkahnya, memasuki Gedung Oval di White House.
Sewaktu Obama masih berusia dua tahun, kedua orang tuanya bercerai. Ibunda Obama pun menikahi Lolo Soetoro.
