A joint healthcare project between Scotland and Malawi has been recognised for best practice by the European Commission.
The Blantyre-Blantyre project between the University of Glasgow and the College of Medicine (CoM) of the University of Malawi shares expertise between the two institutions.
Its aim has been to establish a clinical laboratory facility at CoM to boost development of research and training programmes, medical interventions and policy development in Malawi around non-communicable diseases and their interface with infectious diseases, especially tuberculosis and malaria.
